Almost exactly a year since I last posted...sorry guys...
Have an Embyrn! And here I give you the first glimpse of her beloved, Tso'-lo Ko'-pa Po'-lak-lie ("Tso'-lo" for short). These guys are magnets, two separate pieces that link at the tail--a v-day present for teh bf. I'm pretty happy with them both, although my camera royally messed up so the pics so these are sharpened all to valhalla. I might try to get a better scan in a few days.
These are highly stylized in the Pacific Northwest Native American tradition, and thus do not fully reflect the designs of the characters pictured. So no worries, Embyrn hasn't drastically changed--but I really enjoyed experimenting with the style and designs! Rob's a huge fan of Pacific Northwest art (and Tso'-lo's name comes from Chinook jargon. It means "To Wander with Darkness"...my bf secretly wants to be Batman) so I thought I'd try out the style here. I'm not totally sure I nailed it, but hey--practice makes perfect!
I'm really sleepy, I need to go to bed. Snaa.
India ink and black pen on watercolor paper, on top of printer paper, on top of magnet paper. Gotta keep those colors clean!
I have four more pieces of magnet paper, so expect some more stickies soon! ;D
Happy belated V-Day! Love ya all
