The horror, the horror!

Welp, this here's the valentine I made for my boyfriend this year...the actual one has his name on it, though.

Ink and papercutting...this is the first time I tried to cut out script (all scissors, no exacto). It was stupid tricky but I really like the effect. That bottom panel is all one piece, it was a bear to glue on. I'm quite happy with the result, though. :3

Got chocolate, wine, and dancing for my troubles.

If I didn't know you, I don't think I'd believe you did that script with scissors

it is a town climbed up from the sea:
a salt hymn, an exhalation, a brightly calcified
spray. the houses here are overgrown
as wildflowers, paths like tiny winding veins
sprung alive between them. from my balcony i watch
the sun crest slowly into afternoon,
and mothers lead their children
