HOMG LOOK WHAT I DID AAAH.
...I'm honestly almost embarrassed to be posting this.
I took a look at my gallery and realized that the last month gryphon I posted was...more than a year ago! And THEN I realized that I am currently a senior. I started this project as a freshman. I really, really MUST get the set finished by the time I graduate. XD
Soooo here's August! I started this thing the summer before last (whoooa) and it's been about 80% finished for months, but I got tired of it and couldn't look at it anymore.
Here we have a handsome red-tailed hawk/cougar gryphon standing sentinel over his domain, the vast canyons and buttes of the southwest. Overhead a turkey vulture/coyote circles in the beating afternoon sunshine, searching for a meal, while a pack of Harris hawks/mexican wolves dance in the canyon below. A nesting pair of elf owl/kit fox gryphons peek out to enjoy the sunshine.
Fun fact: Harris hawks do actually hunt in packs, and are sometimes called "wolves of the air." THE MOAR YOU KNOW.
